Here at CLAY, our classes and workshops are designed for all abilities; from those experiencing their first touch of clay, to those wanting to realise a passion project.
The Farnham Pottery and Birdworld are teaming up to offer you a unique opportunity to capture the charm and personality of the resident penguins in clay sculptures.

Your day will begin with meeting Squid and his friends during the morning feed. You’ll have the chance to get up close, take photos, and sketch, using the encounter as inspiration for your very own penguin sculpture.

Dylan Bowen is a third-generation potter renowned for his loosely thrown, slip-decorated earthenware, which bridges traditional English slipware and contemporary ceramics.
Working with both wheel-thrown and hand-built forms, Dylan pours, trails, and brushes liquid clay slip onto his pieces, capturing a sense of movement, spontaneity, and gestural mark-making in every work.
