About the Event

An exhibition of big flower paintings (Oil and Sennelier Pastels) on board, drawing on a spectrum of influences ranging from Matisse, Odilon Redon & Van Gogh to more contemporary painters like Cynthia Packard in Provincetown (who mentored Giles). Giles trained at Hatherley’s, Chelsea School of Art and has a Masters degree in Fine Art from UCA.  He comes from a creative family of artists, film makers, rock band producers and photographers (his brother Guy producing Derek Jarrman’s films and Adam & the Ants in their early days!). He has work in the MOMA permanent collection in Wales as well as personal and corporate collections including Lambert Energy Advisory in Mayfair. This exhibition is dedicated to his father, Aubrey Ford, who lit a spark in a lost young man’s life and inspired him to paint. He was an exquisite artist and phenomenal man.’
