Ronnie Ireland Lectures and Workshop

Art historian and resident Farnham Pottery tutor, Ronnie Ireland presents a series of lectures that will both inform and stimulate. Time will be given to explore the techniques and the importance of artists works through the lens of Ronnie's rich academic and applied knowledge.
In these fun and interactive sessions, Ronnie will examine previously considered works and gift you new depths of appreciation and possible meaning.

Richard’s work is often characterised by the linear, liminal or angular. His images respond to edges or boundaries, physical or implied - literally on the edgelands of perception.
Richard was awarded the Royal Photographic Society Fellowship in 2014 and is now Deputy Chair of the RPS Contemporary Distinctions Assessment Panel.
His work has been exhibited in London galleries including twice at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and he won the Hick Prize at the Discerning Eye at the Mall Galleries.
PERAMBULATIONS is a collection of his latest work and proudly exhibited at the pottery
Willow Weaving and
Basketry Workshop
The Farnham Sculpture group launch a fantastic programme of weaving workshops at the Farnham Pottery.
Tutor Louise Brown offers one day workshops for those looking to give it a try using simple techniques to create a visually appealing basket and a weekend workshop for those wanting to learn the traditional methods of creating a round basket with a crossover handle, all made from beautiful Somerset grown willow.
A further workshop offering from Judith Needham focuses on wildlife, making life-size hares and chicken sculptures. In her one day workshops you'll take home your own fantastic garden ornament for yourself or as a very generous gift.
Pottery Shop
We are pleased to offer our pottery shop that supports our community of talented artists and makers. If they make with us they can sell in our shop.
All our makers work has individuality that sets it apart and gives them a unique personality. The shop is found at the back of the pottery and is open 7 days a week 9am - 4pm
Ceramic classes
The Farnham Pottery is proud to offer classes for all ages and abilities staring in September 2022. The ceramics school will offer shot term beginners class, improvement courses as well as open studio memberships. If you would like to be first in line for a to attend a class or ensure a membership please do register your interest below. We will try to accommodate everyone, allocations per session will be limited ensure the best learning opportunities for all.
