About the Event
We celebrate the craft of the local Potters through exploring the outside of the building and the roads surrounding the pottery to spot the distinctive architectural features made of local red firing clay. The tour, suitable for all ages, includes a map, quiz sheet, Binoculars to view distant artefacts and Magnifying glasses for close study.
Find the detective in yourselves, use observation and a sense of touch to solve clues. The tour aims to raise awareness of the pottery’s rich and unique heritage and provide a brief understanding of the working cycle and importance of this craft industry to Farnham. An opportunity for ‘hands on’ using local clay to try out your craft skills or choosing a part of the building to draw will be an integral part of this enjoyable event.
Limited to 10 per tour, Approx 1 hour.
£5 per group, young children must be accompanied by an adult (FREE).
