Ronnie Ireland Lectures and Workshop
Art historian and resident Farnham Pottery tutor, Ronnie Ireland presents a series of lectures that will both inform and stimulate. Time will be given to explore the techniques and the importance of artists works through the lens of Ronnie's rich academic and applied knowledge.
In these fun and interactive sessions, Ronnie will examine previously considered works and gift you new depths of appreciation and posible meaning.

The archetypal tragic artist story, glorified in film, song and endless books and documentaries. With a career lasting just under a decade became one of the most popular artists in the world. We will focus on Vincent’s work and see how and where the myth fits in.

We examine the attitudes and methods behind many of the serial self portrait makers including Durer, Rembrandt, Vian Gogh, Picasso, Kahlo, Close, Warhol and Sherman. Their work reveals changing attitudes to the individual, to character and what it means within different societies.
